Hey guys! I’m Oriana, a natural light photographer, and graphic designer.
I was born and raised in Regina, SK. where I completed all of my education, including the Graphic Communications program at SIAST in 2013.
So, how did I get into photography! I have always had a creative mind, therefore photography was a natural fit and allowed me to explore and expand my creative thoughts, from taking the picture, to editing to printing the final piece. I was always fascinated by photographs. Whether I knew the people in the photos or not, I was always so amazed by them and what moment in time was captured. I remember flipping through old photo albums at my grandparents and I loved the stories those photos told. So, in September 2010 I purchased my first DSLR camera , which was quite the investment for a second year college student. It wasn’t long before my mom convinced me to return the camera, to use the money for my education. The following Christmas I received a Nikon D90 as a gift from my parents. Now I was ready to take photography classes! I had many family volunteers to help me with practice photoshoots, and what started out as a hobby, grew into a business which I am passionate about. I continued to take night classes for photography, but as I grew and became more experienced I was able to teach myself new techniques. Looking back, my mom and I both laugh at “that expensive camera” I bought in 2010, and how it created the beginnings of my passion for photography.
When I’m not out taking pictures, you can find me hanging out with my family and my husband, out for walks, working out or watching Netflix. I have two nephews, who I absoloutely adore. They are the perfect little guys to take pictures of. I love ice cream and cookies! I wish it was ok to eat them everyday. I love spending my summer camping and fishing. I love to travel, and if I have the opportunity to travel, I more than likely will take it!
